Burning the Wick

I've been busy.  Not with work.  I've left that to the beavers.   September. October.  Does it get any better?  Yes, that's a cliche.

Most folks vacation in summer.  Not me.

There's too many great days.  The mantra.....up early, in late.  Don't miss a day.

Cooler weather.  Fall color.  Chasing fish.  Chasing dogs, that are chasing birds.

Camping.  Starlit skies.  The last of the summer night sounds.

So you see, I've been busy.  As for the beaver, he left his job undone. Obviously, a lack of focus. The aspen isn't quite chewed through.  Maybe he went fishing.

I can't think of a better time of the year to get out and bird hunt, fly fish and do some exploratory hiking. I assume you guys may have already got your first snow of the season, we are expecting our first frost in a couple of weeks. Thanks for sharing

    1. There's been little weather to speak of in the last month Bill. The forecast looks pretty good for the next week too. There's been a dusting of snow in some of the mountains. The big game hunters would like more, I'd be happy with overcast, a shower or two, and a last chance to toss a fly at a surface feeding trout.

  2. Les, It is a great time of year...pretty hard to beat the Fall.

    1. Hi Bob, it's too good and there isn't enough of it. I've been too busy putting miles on the car to keep up with reading and writing blog posts, my apologies to all. I have caught a few fish though.
